AP Employee Assistant is an independent, unofficial utility application developed by a third-party developer for employee convenience. This application is NOT affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Government of India, or any of their departments, agencies, subsidiaries, or affiliates. All salary calculations, tables, and information are for reference purposes based on publicly accessible Government Orders (G.O.s) and official portals.
1. Overview & Local Data Architecture
AP Employee Assistant is built with a strict privacy-first, local-first architecture.
- We do not collect, transmit, upload, sell, or track any of your personal information, financial data, or documents.
- All calculations, salary inputs, document scans, files, and user preferences remain stored 100% locally on your device.
- Sensitive local storage (such as app PIN and preferences) is encrypted using Android KeyStore via
FlutterSecureStorage and local SQLite databases (sqflite).
2. Device Permissions & Purpose
To provide offline helper tools, our application requests specific Android device permissions:
📷 Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)
Used exclusively for scanning paper documents and running optical character recognition (OCR) via Google ML Kit. All image processing occurs entirely on-device and images are never uploaded anywhere.
🖼️ Media & Photos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / STORAGE)
Allows selecting images from your gallery to convert into PDFs or edit inside the PDF tool suite, and saving generated PDFs locally to your device storage. Note: Video access is inherited via Android system picker frameworks; the app does not collect or use video files.
🌐 Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET)
Used solely to open public government portals inside embedded web views (WebView) when selected by the user and for fetching public metadata when saving links.
🔒 Biometrics (USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT)
Allows unlocking the app using your device's fingerprint or face lock. Biometric verification is processed entirely by the Android Operating System; our app never reads or stores your biometric data.
🔔 Notifications & Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS / EXACT_ALARM)
Used to display local task reminders and download progress notifications created by the user.
3. Third-Party Services & Libraries
- Google ML Kit: On-device machine learning library used for text recognition without cloud connections.
- Flutter InAppWebView: Securely renders public web pages inside the app.
- No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party tracking scripts, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDKs, or ad trackers.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Because all data is stored exclusively on your local device:
- You have complete control over your data at all times.
- You can permanently delete all app data, scanned documents, and settings instantly by tapping Clear Data in Android App Settings or by uninstalling the application.
